MackFri^® - 141b

The Blends for replacement of R-11 and R-113.

MackFri^® - 141b physical and chemical properties are similar to R11, R113 properties which allows to use MackFri^® - 141b in the equipment where before R11 and R113 were used.

Before using MackFri^® - 141b, it is necessary to make sure that it is compatible with all rubber (plastic) materials set up in the corresponding equipment.
Below there’s given the list of materials with which MackFri^® - 141b doesn’t interact:

- ethylene / propylene EPR

MackFri^® - 141b chladone doesn’t degrade properties of both above-mentioned materials and the majority of metallic parts used in refrigerating facilities: steel, brass, copper, aluminum, zinc, etc. It’s not recommended to use MackFri^® - 141b more than one hour; otherwise, more frequent usage can change the structure of some materials.

MackFri^® - 141b chladone does not have ignition point, and that’s why, it is viewed as a non-combustible liquid. However, gas phase of MackFri^® - 141b can make inflammable blend together with air in a certain concentration (from 5.6 till 17% of MackFri^® - 141b in the air). It defines the following safety rules:
- MackFri^® - 141b should not be mixed with compressed air or oxygen but can be mixed with dry nitrogen.
- all flame sources should be taken away from the facility, while using MackFri^® - 141b. In particular, welding operations at MackFri^® - 141b presence should be excluded.
- since MackFri^® - 141b is heavier than air, it’s necessary to make sure in ventilation being available. When operations are being performed in a basement, it’s necessary to make sure in complete safety.

Similar to R11, MackFri^® - 141b chladone can be used with the circulation method with the help of pump, with connecting to the standard equipment (valves, inspection windows, fittings and filters), or also by using compressed nitrogen (pressure of 7 - 8 bars).
