January 07 - MHI To Sell Large Air-Conditioning Equipment Abroad

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI) will begin marketing in Asia next year large air conditioner equipment for use in factories that produce high-tech goods such as semiconductors and liquid crystal products.

The company already has a roughly 50% share of this market in Japan.
It decided that entering Asian markets, including South Korea and China, where new plant construction is on the rise, is crucial to its operational growth.

The firm aims to raise annual sales from the operations to 20 billion yen, an increase of 70%.

MHI will promote sales of equipment in which electricity is used to compress refrigerants, claiming that this technique costs less to operate and is easier on the environment than gas-fired absorption units. It has lowered the prices on such equipment by 20-30% by re-examining design and parts procurement

January 05 - Tridium's Solutions at 2007 AHR Expo

Tridium, USA, announced that it will feature the latest release of its industry leading Niagara software, a new oBIX driver interface for Niagara and a portfolio of Vykon based solutions for integrating building automation, energy and security to the enterprise at the 2007 AHR Expo, January 29-31 at the Dallas Convention Center, Dallas Texas, booth # 1713.
The company is also unveiling its next generation touch screen Java Application Control Engine (JACER) and will have on display the new Security JACE for Access Control, the new JACE-NXS and the rest of the JACE series platforms with increased RAM and Flash memory options. As part of its exhibit, Tridium will be conducting a variety of demonstrations featuring real-world applications and installations.
Developed using the Niagara Framework, Tridium's solutions and enterprise applications are designed to integrate diverse systems and devices - regardless of manufacturer, or communication protocol - into a unified platform that can be easily managed and controlled in real time over the Internet. Niagara is today's software platform of choice for meeting the complex challenges of building integration and enterprise connectivity.
