June 25 - To date in Russia there is no legislative base for validation of the Kioto Protocol. Such opinion was expressed by the representative of the Centre of Preparation and Realization of International Programs Mr. Vladimir Berdin on the press-conference dedicated to the mechanisms of implementation of the Kioto Protocol. According to him, there has already started the work on development of the corresponding legislative base.

June 19 - On May 16 of this year the government of Sweden officially announced validation of the Kioto Protocol within the framework of which there is presupposed taking measures on controlling the level of emission of detrimental impurities into the atmosphere. All the necessary documents have been already handed over to the management of EC and delivered to the UNO office in New York.

June 13 - Some producers of air-conditioners in China already acknowledge that retail price for domestic air-conditioners has critically approached the level of net cost. Thus, net cost of a split-system (12000 BTU) of one of the producers with retail price of 1880 yuans (about $228) amounts 1748 yuans, of which 1378 yuans are expenses for the components and raw materials.

June 9 - China has purchased 16 Daikin chillers with air cooling to use them while implementing the project “Three Canyons”. EUWA chillers with power of 12*40 and 4*160 k.s. operating on R134a refrigerant, on the customer’s request, have been manufactured on Daikin Europe NV plant in Belgium with the aim of obtaining originals of the European quality certificates.

June 5 - Daikin Industries LTD company has announced about the new series of outer blocks of conditioners for VRV system of L series of COP. All the new modules of the series - RSX(Y)P 5LK7W1, RSX(Y)P 8LK7W1, RSX(Y)P 10LK7W1 - operate on the safe refrigerant R407C.

June 3 - Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 16.05.02 № 624.
About intensification of the state regulation of import to Ukraine and export from Ukraine of ozone-dangerous substances.
With the aim of fulfillment of the Vienna Convention about protection of ozone layer dated 1985 and the Montreal Protocol about the substances depleting ozone layer dated 1987, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has resolved:
To establish that import to Ukraine and export from Ukraine of ozone-dangerous substances mentioned in Appendices А and В to the Montreal Protocol about the substances depleting ozone layer dated 1987 (further in the text - Montreal Protocol), is realized exceptionally:
In separate cases of their using in accordance with the corresponding resolutions accepted on the meetings of the Sides of the Montreal Protocol;
In case of their using as raw materials for production of other chemical substances;
In case of transit transportation through the territory of Ukraine from the countries and into the countries being the Sides of the Montreal Protocol.
