April 25 - Noiseless hermetic spiral compressors Scroll now do not require maintenance. In the machines they use new ozone-safe HFС refrigerant - 407C, which complies with all the International standards. The refrigeration machine can operate trouble free during one year at temperature -18С. April 22 - In the new equipment LENNOX there have been built in the latest technical achievements - spiral and screw compressors (BITZER), the safest from the ecological point of view refrigerant R-407C, improved controller CLIMATIC. In order to satisfy increased requirements to the noise level, part of the equipment is released in the version - Super Low Noise. April 20 - Toshiba company has offered complete range of air-conditioners where there is used a highly-effective refrigerant R-410A, which doesn’t have harmful influence on ozone layer. Also R-410A is accepted as the most energy-sufficient refrigerant available on the market. April 16 - Separate split-systems, according to calculations made by BSRIA, constituted 90% of sales of complex air-conditioning systems in Greece in 2001. Total cost of the sold conditioners constituted 410 million USD. April 13 - York International's Engineered Systems Products Group has announced the purchase of General Refrigermetics. Terms of the agreement are not disclosed. April 11 - Hitachi Home Electronics has become a part of Hitachi Europe Ltd. Now two main subdivisions of ННЕЕ - Digital Media Group and Consumer Products group, into the sphere of activities of which production of equipment for air-conditioning is included, will be functioning within the frames of HEL. April 10 - Haier conditioners have become the first Chinese brand which has recently received the certificate of conformance to the standards of American organization АНАМ. It is worthy to note that it is for the first time that Haier deliveries in the USA have constituted more than 1 billion items in 2001. April 7 - Toyo Denki Co., Ltd, joint Chinese-Japanese enterprise, has become within the short period of time one of the leading producers of the air-conditioning equipment in China. With three factories being available, capacity of production of Toyo Aircon air-conditioners has made 2 million items per year. April 5 - Daikin Industries Ltd company has purchased the Italian firm SITI (Milan) engaged in sales of the equipment for air-conditioners. Cost of the agreement constitutes approximately 3 billion yens. After registration of the purchase, it is planned to transfer the administrative part of the purchase personnel from Japan to Italy to extend the outlet for equipment of average and large capacities.
