Possible malfunctions of the system of air-conditioning and measures on their elimination
The given chapter is devoted to malfunctions of the refrigerating cycle of the air-conditioner and its components. Special attention should be paid to the classification of malfunctions introduced at the beginning of this chapter as the data given there have the big value under the prevention of malfunctions.
Attention: Before beginning of realization of the works connected to system of conditioning, it is necessary to familiarize with the safety precautions described in the first chapter of the second part of this book.
The air-conditioner works as a system, therefore, at occurrence of malfunctions t is very difficult to detect them, especially it is difficult to carry out maintenance service without understanding of work of the system and control circuit.
 Classification of malfunctions
Malfunctions of the air-conditioner can be divided into malfunctions of the system of air-conditioning, malfunction of the refrigerating cycle, malfunction of a control circuit of the system of air-conditioning, the malfunctions connected to isolation and transfer of heat. At close examination of the reasons of malfunctions practically there are no malfunctions because of poor-quality of details of the system of air-conditioning, and incomplete check of outflow of gas, non-observance of rules on installation is a lot of reasons of the malfunctions arising because of malfunctions of installation of the conditioner, air exhaust, discrepancy of the basic works on filling with a refrigerant. It is possible to consider that a question of malfunction of the conditioner is almost solved if to prevent basic mistakes. However, malfunction of the system of air-conditioning in connection with transition of a mechanical control system to the vacuum, and recently to the electronic control system, it is needed diagnosing on more scientific basis.
Necessary equipment for checking:
manometer and hose (for R-12 and R-134a);
detector of outflow of gas (for R-12 and R-l34a);
vacuum pump (for R-12 and R-134a);
refrigerant (R-12) (R-ll) (R-134a);
refrigerant oil (для R-12 and R-i34a).
