External air thermode

Location:

Central front part of the condenser.

Function:

It consists of thermistor (resistance NTC). Reacting to temperature of external air, it enters the transformed signals of pressure into the controller depending on change of resistance value.

Way of checking.

If the display lamp of check of the external air thermode lights up - A, they perform checking following the below items.

• Disconnect a two-contact socket of the external air thermode B.
• On the part of socket of the external air thermode, by having connected a measuring instrument of resistance between plugs 1 and 2, they measure value of resistance (at temperature of external air 20°С value of resistance approximately 2 kOm.
• In case of difference from the specified value of resistance of the gauge, they replace the external air thermode, and in case of conformity - pass to the next point of checking.
• Switch on ignition.
• On the socket of the autotemperature regulator of the air-conditioner between plugs 3 and 18, they connect the voltmeter and measure pressure (value of a measured pressure 4-6 V).

When the pressure is not measured, they check presence of breakage of a wire and when the normal pressure is measured - they replace with the autotemperature regulator and perform checking again.
